Scenic Memo Calendar Description

The natural beauty of our diverse British countryside is the theme of the Scenic Memo calendar, which will appeal to all those who love our wonderful heritage and picturesque places. These magnificent views of some of our finest landscapes are superbly photographed for everyone to enjoy.

One entrancing image is of a sparkling river flowing through Glen Sligachan in the Isle of Skye, a long, remote valley, with breathtaking views of the formidable Cuillin mountains. The renowned glen lies in the heart of the jagged Black Cuillin range, some of Britain's most challenging peaks. Loch Sligachan cuts across Skye from the east. In another photo we see St Mawes in Cornwall. This scenic village in the Roseland peninsula is a popular yachting resort. Narrow streets and steep steps lead downhill between the whitewashed houses and the famous Victory Inn to the sheltered harbour and two fine beaches. St. Mawes Castle, built by Henry VIII, along with Pendennis Castle, Falmouth guard the Fal estuary on either side.
